PRN Visits Voyageur Outward Bound School

PRN’s Executive Director, Charles Elias, recently joined the staff, students and parents participating in the Family Conference that concluded a 50-day adventure course at the Voyageur Outward Bound School (www.vobs.org). Located outside of Ely, Minnesota, and making use of the incredible Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, VOBS runs programs for teens focused on character development, leadership, and experiential education. Their Intercept programs are specifically designed to work with struggling teens and their families, and PRN’s reunification and continuing care services are designed to work with such families to support a successful transition back to the students’ home communities. We thank the VOBS team for their invitation to visit, and for their interest in PRN for Families as a resource for their participants.
SUMMER VACATION BLUES?
Did you know that PRN for Families has a program designed specifically for students who will benefit from additional support, structure, and guidance over summer vacation? Our Home from School program provides an in-home assessment, customized support, consultation, crisis and case management to maintain advances that students and families have achieved during the school year and during residential treatment. Our services extend into the fall term to ensure a smooth transition back to school. For further information, please visit our website or contact us at: (888) 762-5973.
OUT AND ABOUT…

PRN has been on the road! From Ely, Minnesota to Los Angeles, California, from Stow, Maine to Waitsfield & Burlington, Vermont, to Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri and many places in between…we’ve been out talking to programs and referring professionals, meeting with clients, and participating in conferences and trainings. We’re always grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and collaborate. We look forward to a visit to your neighborhood soon, too!
